OpenAI Unveils ChatGPT Search - ICT Business
OpenAI unveiled a ChatGPT Search model providing more in-depth answers than its competitors. The model, based on OpenAI's GPT-4o, allows users to conduct searches based on their queries or by manually using a web icon. Testing of this feature began in July.
Instead of directing users to search engines that require multiple queries and sifting through various links, ChatGPT Search provides direct links to relevant web resources. This approach enables users to ask questions in a natural, conversational manner and receive information from the internet more efficiently.
Enhanced Search Capabilities
Users can delve deeper with follow-up questions, and ChatGPT considers the full context of the conversation to provide better answers. The search functions are currently accessible to ChatGPT Plus and Team subscribers on both mobile phones and desktop computers.
OpenAI has announced that enterprise and education users will have access to these features in the coming weeks, with availability to free users planned in the near future.
OpenAI is continuously training ChatGPT by partnering with content providers such as US magazine and digital publisher Time, Financial Times, multinational media company Alex Springer, and France-based Le Monde. Additionally, the company collaborates with third-party data providers to ensure fresh information and visual designs spanning categories like weather, stocks, sports, news, and maps.

In other industry news, Nokia and Hrvatski Telekom are collaborating on pilot projects that integrate Nokia's Network as a Code platform with HT's network assets. Meanwhile, Sparkle has announced the pre-order launch of its Quantum Safe over Internet (QSI) service.
