Meta is enhancing its suite of generative AI tools for advertisers, with updates that significantly expand the capabilities for creating creative ad variations. These new features build upon the functionalities introduced in October and now include the ability to generate complete image variations and incorporate text overlays.
Enhanced Image Variation Capabilities
Previously, Meta's AI tools allowed for the modification of backgrounds in ad images. With the latest updates, advertisers can now create full image variations, transforming the entire visual presentation of their ads. This means that a simple ad featuring a coffee cup can be reimagined in various settings, such as a vibrant coffee farm, with different angles and color variations of the cup itself.

Text Overlay Options
In addition to image variations, Meta is introducing text overlay capabilities, offering a selection of twelve popular font typefaces for advertisers to choose from. The image expansion feature, which adjusts creative assets to fit different aspect ratios, is now available on Reels and Feed on both Instagram and Facebook platforms and seamlessly integrates with text overlays.
Text Generation Enhancements
Meta's AI can now generate variations for ad headlines, in addition to the primary text. The company is also experimenting with the ability for the generated text to reflect a brand's unique voice and tone based on previous campaigns and input text.
Improved Ad Creation Efficiency
These updated generative AI features will be accessible in Ads Manager through Advantage+ creative, streamlining ad creation processes and enhancing performance. Meta plans to make these features globally available by the end of the year, empowering advertisers to create and manage their ad content more efficiently.

Expansion of Meta Verified Subscription Service
Alongside the AI updates, Meta is expanding its subscription service, Meta Verified, to new markets including Argentina, Mexico, Chile, Peru, France, and Italy. The service offers four subscription plans, all featuring a verified badge, account support, and impersonation monitoring. Higher-tier plans include additional benefits for businesses.
By the year's end, all the updated generative AI features will be accessible globally, marking a significant advancement in how advertisers can leverage Meta's platforms to create and manage their ad content.
