Google Unveils New AI Features in the Pixel 9 Series, Pixel Buds Pro 2, and Pixel Watch 3
Google recently introduced its latest smartphones, the Pixel 9 series, during the Made by Google 2024 event. Alongside the new phones, Google also revealed a host of innovative AI features that will be available on the Pixel 9 series, as well as on the new Pixel Buds Pro 2 and Pixel Watch 3.
Pixel 9 Series: Enhanced AI Capabilities
The Pixel 9 series, comprising the Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, and Pixel 9 Pro XL, boasts an upgraded Gemini AI assistant. Users can now access Gemini simply by pressing the power button, allowing them to perform various tasks such as handling complex queries and providing weather updates. Google has enhanced Gemini with the ability to process text, images, and voice inputs.
New AI Features for Pixel 9 Series Camera
In addition to the revamped Gemini assistant, Google has integrated several new AI features into the Pixel 9 series camera. These features include Add Me, Magic Editor, and Auto Frame. The Add Me function lets users insert themselves into a group photo after it has been taken, while the Magic Editor and Auto Frame features enable users to edit and enhance their images. Furthermore, the Pixel Studio app facilitates image creation through on-device and cloud-based AI models.
AI Features in Pixel Watch 3
Google has expanded its AI capabilities to the Pixel Watch 3, focusing primarily on health and fitness monitoring. The features include automatic Bedtime Mode activation, advanced heart rate tracking, and a Loss of Pulse Detection feature that leverages AI algorithms to detect health emergencies and trigger emergency services when necessary. Additionally, the Watch 3 includes Call Assist, which helps identify and manage spam calls directly from the watch.
Pixel Buds Pro 2 AI Features
The Pixel Buds Pro 2 are equipped with AI features powered by the Tensor A1 chipset. The Tensor chip enables AI-driven Active Noise Cancellation, which adjusts to the user's surroundings for enhanced noise reduction. Users can also interact with the Gemini assistant hands-free using the Buds Pro 2.
