Google Gemini becomes the default AI assistant on Galaxy S25...
Galaxy S25 is the first smartphone from Samsung to use Google Gemini as the default AI assistant, replacing Bixby. Users can still access Bixby on the phone, but long-pressing the power button will summon Gemini instead of Bixby. Google has updated Gemini to make this assistant smarter, capable of performing complex multi-step tasks. For example, users can ask Gemini to search for images of a restaurant and then send them to friends, or find upcoming events and add them to the calendar with just one command.
Multi-App Support and Extensions
The support for multiple applications is developed based on the existing extensions of Gemini, spanning a range of Google apps and some third-party apps like WhatsApp and Spotify. Today's update adds Samsung's apps to the list, including Samsung Calendar, Notes, Reminder, and Clock.

Gemini Live Feature
Gemini Live - a voice-based chat mode - has also been enhanced, although limited to Galaxy S25 and S24, and Google Pixel 9. Device owners can share images, files, YouTube videos with the chat interface, request Gemini to respond, and provide information.
Circle to Search Feature
The Circle to Search feature has been improved to automatically recognize phone numbers, email addresses, URLs for easier interaction. AI Overviews in search results have been expanded to work with more visually appealing result types.

Accessibility Improvements
Finally, Google announces changes to make it easier to pair screen readers and hearing aids with Android devices.
