Google upgraded Gemini to expand its global accessibility

Google recently made significant upgrades to its Gemini chatbot service, expanding its availability globally. The mobile app and Google Assistant opt-in for Gemini are now accessible in over 100 countries and territories, supporting nine major languages.

After rebranding the Bard chatbot as Gemini, Google announced that iOS users could access Gemini through the Google standalone app, while Android users had the option of downloading the app or opting in via Google Assistant. This strategic move enabled users to access the chatbot through various channels such as pressing the power button, corner-swiping, or using the voice command 'Hey Google'.

The service is now accessible in over 100 countries and territories, with the exception of the UK and the European Union.
