10 Exciting Features of Google Gemini's New Chat Memory

Google Gemini Can Now Reference Past Conversations - Lowyat.NET

Google announced that its AI chatbot can now remember past chats and use information from them when responding to the user. This feature eliminates the need to repeat information previously shared with the chatbot, creating a more streamlined experience. Gemini will also indicate when it has used past information in its answer.

Currently, this feature is only available for English-speaking Gemini Advanced subscribers via the Google One AI Premium Plan on the Gemini web and mobile app. However, Google has stated that it will roll out this feature to more languages soon. There are also plans to release this feature for users with enterprise accounts. This does mean that you’ll need to fork out RM97.99 a month to access Gemini’s recall capabilities.

User Control over Information

According to Google, the user still has control over their own information as they have the option to review and delete their chat history. If the user chooses to keep their chat history, they can also decide how long they want this information saved. This feature can also be turned off in the “My Activity” page.

It seems memory features are one way companies are looking to improve their AI chatbots. Last year, Google added a more general memory feature to Gemini, which enables it to retain details about the user such as their preferences.
