Apple iOS 18.2 Public Beta: Air Tag Location, ChatGPT Integration and More
Apple has recently announced the release of iOS 18.2 Developer Beta 3 for iPhone, introducing several exciting features to enhance user experience. Among the notable updates are the ability to share Air Tag locations with others, integration of ChatGPT, and more.

Share Item Location Feature
One of the key highlights of this beta update is the Share Item Location feature, which enables users to easily locate and retrieve misplaced items. By allowing users to share the location of their AirTag or Find My with third parties, this feature enhances the overall tracking capabilities.
Airline Services Integration
Apple is also set to collaborate with prominent airline services worldwide, such as Aer Lingus, Air Canada, Air New Zealand, Austrian Airlines, British Airways, Brussels Airlines, Delta Air Lines, and others, to expand the utility of the Share Item Location feature. This collaboration will assist airlines in locating mishandled or delayed bags efficiently.

Users can now generate a Share Item Location link within the Find My option on their iPhone, iPad, or Mac devices and share it with anyone they choose. Recipients of the link can access a map displaying the real-time location of the missing item, facilitating quick recovery.
According to Eddy Cue, Apple's senior vice president of Services, "Find My is an indispensable tool for users worldwide to monitor and recover their belongings. The synergy between the Find My network and AirTag has proven to be incredibly valuable, especially during travels, providing critical location data when bags go missing or are mishandled."
