Apple to bring ChatGPT, new Apple Intelligence feature to iPhones ...
Apple introduced the first phase of Apple Intelligence last October with the release of iOS 18.1. This initial release included updates such as a redesigned Siri UI, Writing tools, and a Clean up tool in Photos. Now, Apple is set to expand its offerings with the upcoming iOS 18.2. According to reports from Bloomberg's Mark Gurman, Apple is targeting a release date of December 2 for these new features, with speculation pointing towards the first week of December.
iOS 18.2 Update Features
The iOS 18.2 update is expected to bring a range of advanced features, including the integration of ChatGPT into Siri, Genmoji, Image Playground, and Visual Intelligence. Alongside these additions, there will be various upgrades outside of the Apple Intelligence suite.
One of the key highlights of the upcoming iOS 18.2 update is the integration of ChatGPT into Siri. This collaboration with OpenAI will enable Siri to perform complex tasks by leveraging ChatGPT's capabilities, such as generating text or images from scratch. With the Writing Tools feature, ChatGPT can create unique content and enhance Siri's functionality beyond its current scope. 
Another noteworthy addition is Genmoji, a feature that offers enhanced flexibility compared to traditional emojis. Genmoji allows users to create custom emojis that can be tailored to their preferences, including the ability to resemble individuals in their photo library. Apple has developed a specialized API for Genmoji to ensure seamless display across various apps on Apple devices.
Additional Enhancements
Visual Intelligence is another feature set to be introduced with the iPhone 16 series. This functionality provides users with insights about their surroundings, such as providing information about nearby establishments when the camera is pointed at them. Visual Intelligence also enables text-to-speech capabilities, text recognition, and enhanced search functionalities. 
Apple is also updating its Writing Tools feature to offer more flexibility in content modifications. Users will now have the ability to specify custom tones and content changes, allowing for a more personalized writing experience.
Furthermore, the Image Wand feature in the Notes app allows users to create images that complement their written content. By circling an empty space or drawing a picture, Image Wand generates related images to enhance notes. Similarly, the Image Playground app offers users a platform to generate stylized images based on prompts and categories.
