Day 28 - ChatGPT to the rescue
Today, I embarked on a mission to understand what went wrong with my recreation of the tutorial from Day 27. Suspecting issues with my project, I decided to start fresh and dive into recreating a tutorial by Continue Breake. The author had also created a companion article with a more detailed explanation, which was helpful to some extent. However, I still found myself grappling with some concepts. That's when I turned to ChatGPT for assistance, and it truly came to my rescue, providing me with clear insights and answers to all my queries.
Moreover, I simply inserted a screenshot featuring Blueprint nodes, and ChatGPT effortlessly recognized them, providing me with valuable insights. In the end, I successfully recreated the demo tutorial - a moment of celebration indeed!
Furthermore, I took diligent notes on the Nodes, ensuring that when I resume my work tomorrow, I can easily refresh my Mental Model.
However, there still remains a hint of uncertainty as to why my initial attempt to recreate it in my original project failed. Could it be due to the usage of a cube instead of a helicopter mesh? Or perhaps the choice of a PlayerController over a Pawn? Another possibility could be that the mesh wasn't the root node of my PlayerController Blueprint. The latter seems to be the most probable culprit.
On another note, I found myself pondering why the images I pasted had a maximum width of 800px in preview mode, giving them a rather pixelated appearance.
